About Block Paving Surfaces
Block paving (also called pavers or brick pavers) are individual units of stone, concrete, or clay laid in patterns. This creates attractive, flexible surfaces that can be easily repaired. However, the joints between blocks are vulnerable to water damage and biological growth.
Material Properties
Block paving's strength depends on the material (concrete, clay, stone) and installation quality. Flexibility allows movement without cracking, but joints need maintenance. Quality installation and materials last 20+ years.
